从洋人的相册里看到

From my grandfather Edwin's album - my family lived in North China, in Tientsin and later Wei-Hai-Wei for many years and this album covers the period immediately after the Boxer Rising of 1900. This fort appears largely undamaged, one can make out what I take to be Japanese and British Empire Troops.

大沽口

This is my dad, in I guess about 1916. From some photographs recently sold on e-bay I can identify the location as the Alarm Bell Tower in Victoria Park, Tientsin,North China.

I had been told and now, irritatingly, forgotten, what SHK stood for. I assume that is the Pei-Ho river or estuary in the background.

I had been told and now, irritatingly, forgotten, what SHK stood for. Of the forts in this series the German fort looks by far the most orderly - a very model of Teutonic efficiency.

对是望海楼,笔误.....

那时相片好清楚啊

第四张是现在天津市政府对面的花园后面是利顺德

望海楼就升一层皮了。
