Perrysburg, Ohio, November 10, 2008- Only five years after Master Chemical began its first China operation, Master Chemical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd and only a year after the establishment of Master Chemical (Shanghai) Technology Center, Master Chemical celebrated the start of a new manufacturing plant in Tianjin, China. The opening ceremony for Master Chemical (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was held at the new facility on October 18, 2008. Mr. Joe H. Wright, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Xingfang Lu, Vice President-Asia Business Development, and members of the Tianjin Economic Technology Developing Zone were among those who spoke at the event. "Master Chemical has been rewarded with ever increasing demand for its metalworking products and services in China because we have been working very hard to innovate quickly to bring solutions to our customers first. Last year we added a technology center to increase our ability to formulate quicker and more accurately. Now we are adding another production plant that is double the size of our first plant to meet the increasing demand of our customers," stated Mr. Lu.
Master Chemical, known as the originator of coolant recycling, traces its history back more than half a century and has offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. According to Mr. Lu, Master Chemical can help impact customer profitability by cutting costs with coolant management systems and recycling equipment, providing training to ensure cost reductions when recycling systems are used, lowering waste-related expenditures through recycling, reducing hauling and shipping charges, and lessening energy usage in metalworking and cleaning. "Managing coolants effectively and proactively can improve manufacturing processes and lower cost," said Mr. Lu.
